15 hours... but who's counting?

Whooo boy, does this blog need an update! I leave in less than a day and have yet to post about my french town, my host family and all that good stuff. To start at the begining, I received an e-mail from Valerie (my host mom) with the subject "Hi lauren, would you like to stay with us?" uhhhhh YES. I'll have a older brother (Ludovic, 17) and two younger sisters (Elisa, 14 and Lucie, 13), plus Valerie and Patrick (mom and dad). They live west of Paris in a little town called Villpreux, which I've been stalking extensively through google earth street view.
I've also been talking with my host siblings through facebook, asking about school and what to pack. Both Ludovic and Elisa will go to the same school as me, Ludovic in my grade and Elisa in the one below. As far as packing, I think the whole world needs to know about the wonders of airtight bags. My winter coat is now sucked into a very small and very dense plastic bag. I've also packed a tiny camping towel for orientation in Paris (I know. We get a measly 66 pounds and we have to bring towels). All my liquids are in little 3 oz. bottles, and I made sure to leave all explosives and weed killer at home to assure a smooth boarding.
For now, I need to finish stuffing a suitcase.

Villepreux is the little red dot.

  1. Foreign Lauren has little to say after arriving in Villepreux and being in school for 3 days?
